The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest on earth, and the only place where the Royal Bengal tiger still roams a tidal wilderness of rivers, mudflats, and salt-tolerant forest. This four-day private expedition trades the usual tour-boat crowds for a smaller vessel, a slower pace, and a guide who has spent years reading this landscape.

You'll sleep aboard the boat as it moves quietly between narrow channels, wake to birdsong instead of engine noise, and spend your days scanning riverbanks from watchtowers, drifting past spotted deer and estuarine crocodiles, and stopping in fishing villages that sit right at the forest's edge.

This isn't a wildlife guarantee tour — tiger sightings in the Sundarbans are rare and unscripted, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can promise is an honest, unhurried look at one of the world's last great tidal forests, guided by people who grew up along its rivers.

1. 1

   Khulna to Mangrove Edge

   Morning pick-up in Khulna, then a scenic drive to the river launch point. Board your private boat and cruise into the outer buffer zone, watching the landscape shift from farmland to forest. First watchtower stop before dinner and an overnight anchor on calm water.

2. 2

   Deep Forest & Watchtowers

   A full day inside the core forest. Visit two more watchtowers on foot with a forest-department guide, cruise narrow creeks by smaller boat for a closer look at wildlife, and stop at a honey-collectors' village to hear how local families work safely inside tiger territory.

   Birdlife & the River Mouth

   Early start for the best birdwatching light — kingfishers, sea eagles, and migratory waders along the banks. Afternoon cruise toward where the Sundarbans meets the open Bay of Bengal, with a beach walk if tides allow, then a final night aboard.

4. 4

   Return to Khulna

   A slower morning cruise back through the buffer zone, with time for last photographs and a stop at a riverside market. Drive back to Khulna, arriving by early evening.
